FADE IN:
EXT. ABANDONED VINEYARD - DUSK
TOMMY and SYLVANE creep beneath a rotting trellis.
Tommy wields a bottle of FILMLAND BOURBON in one hand, the other clutches Sylvane's.
A WOLFISH ARM cuts through the vines, slashes Tommy across the chest and hurls him through the air.
The bottle flies from his hand, lands at the feet of the partially transformed WHITE WOLF. She is huge - silvery fur, claws as long as carving knives and fangs to match.
THE WHITE WOLF
GET OUT!
Tommy slumps against a dying tree. His shirt torn open in five angry rips - the wounds beneath seep blood and gore.
Sylvane dashes to him, desperately tries to stop the bleeding.
SYLVANE
I'm going to kill that b-
TOMMY
(Coughing blood)
She seems nice enough...
The White Wolf looms over them as her full transformation completes. Claws still drip with Tommy's blood.
She picks up the bourbon bottle, eyes it curiously before turning on the couple.
THE WHITE WOLF
That was your only warning. Leave my home now!
Sylvane rises, begins to transform into Wolf form.
SYLVVANE
Listen, snaggletooth, we were just looking for a place to rest, but now... if it's fight or flight...
Sylvane draws up, baring her theeth, ready to attack when...THREE WOLF CUBS emerge from behind The White Wolf. Silvery fur, mini fangs at the ready - adorable and fierce.
Sylvane sees the Cubs, softens. She begins to change back into human form.
The White Wolf takes a step back.
From the vines, ECHOING HOWlS cut through the air.
SLATE along with THE PACK, all in wolf-form, emerge. He gives a slow 'golf clap.'
SLATE
(to Sylvane)
You see, Sis? It can be such a drag looking after family. So ungrateful...
The White Wolf spins, teeth bared, claws ready. The bottle of bourobn in her paw.
Slate gives a subtle gesture and the pack pounces on her. She is bigger and stronger, but it's all she can do to fend them off.
Slate scoops up the cubs in his claws. Turns toward the vines.
SLATE
Sometimes it's just best to start fresh.
The White Wolf sees Slate leaving with her Cubs. She lets loose a thunderous yowl, but the pack has her pinned.She looks to Sylvane, her eyes vulnerable, pleading.
Sylvane glances at Tommy, struggling to breathe, he musters a nod.
The White Wolf tosses the bourbon bottle in the air.
Sylvane's wolfish claw catches it.
She turns toward Slate as she fully transforms.
